The first day of spring provided a perfect weather morning for sellers of the Buffalo News Kids Day edition on street corners and busy intersections across Western New York Tuesday
Thousands of volunteers helped to sell the special edition of the Buffalo News for $1.00.
The proceeds benefit Women and Children’s Hospital in Buffalo.
Kids Day is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The front section features four Variety Club Telethon celebrity children. They reflect on what Children’s Hospital has meant in their lives in dealing with disabilities.
The special edition features a Kids Day picture page titled “Faces of Hope”.
The Buffalo News says in the past 30-years, Kids Day has raised more than $3.9 million.
