Shea's announces new schedule

Shea's Performing Arts Theatre unveiled its 2012-2013 Broadway Series lineup to season ticket holders in a special reception last night.

This coming season marks the 25th anniversary of the popular series.

The highlight is The Book of Mormon, the blockbuster #1 Broadway show, which will begin a one-week run in June.

Also coming to the downtown theatre are Billy Elliott, Jekyll and Hyde, White Christmas, Sister Act, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert, with the original Broadway cast.

Special engagements include the return of Jersey Boys, the Nutcracker, and a new theatrical production of The Blue Man Group.

Shea's President Anthony Conte says this year's series drew 165,000 patrons to the historic theatre.

The 2012 season kicks off September 25th.

Monday - Friday, 10 a.m.. - 2 p.m.
