The Families of Flight 3407 along with members of the general public will participate in a candlelight procession tonight.

This weekend marks the third anniversary of the tragic crash that took the lives of 51 people. Marilyn and John Kausner lost their daughter, Ellie, in the crash. The accident has Kausner urging all consumers to consider a number of factors over and above airfares when they buy airline tickets.

"I think it's time for the public to wake up and realize that we need to shop for more than just price when we're looking at our...at booking tickets. You need to know who's flying your airplane. Do they have experience? Have they been rested? What is the airline like? Do they have a culture of safety or are they all about the bottom line? And unfortunately for us, Colgan Airlines was all about the bottom line."

Each of the names of the fifty-one lives lost in the crash will be read at the memorial constructed in their memory in Clarence Center. A bell will also be tolled to recognized each of the lives lost.
