A year long deployment to Afghanistan comes to an end today for members of the Niagara Falls Armed Forces Reserve Center.
Fifteen Army Reservists of the 1982nd Forward Surgical Team will be met by colleagues, family and friends at noon today at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. While deployed, the Surgical Team provided urgent care to severely wounded American soldiers before their evacuation to treatment facilities.
The team is credited with saving numerous lives.
