Democratic incumbent Mayor Paul Dyster won re-election Tuesday night.  Dyster defeated republican Johnny Destino.  Dyster also made history -- he becomes the first two-term mayor in two decades in Niagara Falls.   Dyster won 53% to Destino's 45% of the vote.

In the city of Buffalo, all nine Common Council members retain their seats.  But they ran in Tuesday's elections uncontested.  Four incumbents did face opponents in the September Democratic primary.
