Buffalo, NY – The Occupy Wall Street Movement is spreading its influence to Buffalo.

A group called Occupy Buffalo is following the lead of the downstate protests, planning an assembly of concerned citizens Saturday afternoon. The protests target the inequity of influence in financial matters concentrated in the hands of just a few.

Organizers are hoping to gather enough bodies to occupy the financial district of the city. The event is scheduled for noon today in Niagara Square, downtown Buffalo.

Attendees are encouraged to bring signs, water and snacks.
