Buffalo, NY – Family, friends and fellow classmates came together to celebrate the life of Williamsville North freshman Jamey Rodemeyer on Saturday.

A mass of Christian burial was performed at Saints Peter and Paul in Williamsville. The fourteen year old Rodemeyer took his own life after suffering at the hands of bullies for years. Cheyenne Philips, a friend of Rodemeyers, expressed the grief felt by so many.

A pair of candlelight vigils will be held in Rodemeyer's honor tonight, one at the Williamsville North parking lot beginning at 7. The other will be a vigil and march beginning at Allen and Franklin Streets at 8. Donations in memory of Jamey Rodemeyer can be made at Bank of America branches.

The crisis services hotline is available for those in need at 834-3131.
