Buffalo, NY – Western new York Congresswoman Kathy Hochul wants answers into the 2009 ambush of Coalition Forces in Afghanistan that claimed the life of a local Marine.

Marine Gunnery Sergeant Aaron Kenefick of Williamsville died in September of 2009.

Congresswoman Hochul is calling on the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee to hold a hearing and investigation.

Hochul reviewed a report this past weekend on the investigation into the attack. It stated that the commanding officers were inadequate and ineffective' and their actions contributed directly to the loss of life which ensued.'

Sunday night on CBS's 60-Minutes there was a story about the ambush. Hochul said she was "appalled" about the actions surrounding the incident and the repercussions of those involved.

Just last week, Sergeant Dakota Meyer was awarded the Medal of Honor for his valor in the attack.
