How redistricting changed 2011 primary

Buffalo, NY – There was one entire body of government missing from the primary ballots Tuesday.
The bungled re-districting of the Erie County legislature left no time for challengers to circulate petitions.
There were some heated primary races, for example in four of Buffalo's common council districts. But at least one political observer says the general election for those seats will be a snooze.
