Buffalo, NY – Buffalo's former Human Resources Commissioner, Karla Thomas, is speaking out against the Brown administration in City Hall.

Thomas was fired earlier this year for failing to stop health care benefits from being paid out to deceased city employees. Buffalo News City Hall reporter Brian Meyer held an exclusive interview with Thomas where she divulges her side of the story. Meyer shared excerpts of that interview with WBFO News, and Thomas explains why she had to speak out.

WBFO News asked the Mayor to respond to the remarks made by Thomas, but mayoral spokesman Mike DeGeorge said the mayor declined and considers the Thomas case closed.

More can be heard about Meyer's interview with Thomas on WBFO's Monday morning Press Pass feature.
