Buffalo, NY – Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo has been ranked one of the best children's hospitals in the country.

The U.S. News World and Report recognized the hospital with awards in Cancer treatment, Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Barbara Kaderli said the doctors and nurses at the hospital gave her daughter Sydney her life back, after she was diagnosed with epilepsy. She said her daughter is now able to do all the things normal kids can do.

"When we went into this whole process prior to Sydney's surgeries, we didn't know if we were going to be fortunate to have her here today. They've brought my child back. She lives a very normal happy life now. I remember saying to the doctors if nothing else just let me hear her laugh one more time, now I hear her laugh all the time," said Kaderli.

President of Women's and Children's Hospital, Cheryl Klass, said she is very proud of the doctors and nurses who tirelessly provide care for their patients.

"Certainly this is a sense of pride for us. We know that we deliver wonderful, strong clinical care to our patients, but to have this recognized nationally is very special to the entire team," said Klass.

Klass attributes the hospital's research and low death rates as factors in Children's receiving the honor.
