Buffalo, NY – The Olmsted Parks Conservancy and Buffalo Police are trying to track down those responsible for stealing plants at Martin Luther King Park.

60-flowering plants were stolen from the historic Cottage Garden at the park. This is the fourth time plants have been taken from the Park in the last month and a half.

Olmsted president and CEO Thomas Herrera-Mishler said it appears a commercial vehicle was spotted in the thefts.

Masten District Council member Demone Smith urges residents to be on the look out for vandal at the Park.

Olsmted is also urging citizens not to drive their vehicles on the grass at MLK Park. The Conservancy says it spends thousands of dollars to repair damaged turf at the park.
