Buffalo, NY – About two dozen budding Buffalo filmmakers are lining up to test their production chops in the eighth annual 48 Hour Film Project.

Buffalo is one of about 80 cities around the globe competing in the wild, and frantic short film contest. Filmmakers get just 48 hours - from concept to final cut - to make their cinematic masterpiece.

Registration wraps up this week because the clock will soon be ticking. The 48 hour production weekend is August 5 through the 7.

WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with J Garrett Vorreauter, the Buffalo City Producer for this year's project. He said filmmakers have to be fast, creative - and be able to improvise.

More information about the project and registration are available at 48 Hour Film Project.
