Sheriff's department issue Silver Alert

Buffalo, NY – The Erie County Sheriff's Department is asking for the publics help as part of it new Silver Alert System.

86-year-old Onalee Irvine was last seen along Fairfield Road in Clarence around 10'o'clock Monday morning. The 86-year-old is described as 5 feet 5, about 130 ponds, gray hair and brown eyes, wearing a blue sweat shirt and gray pants.

The Sheriff's Department issued the alert just a couple of hours of announcing implementation of the county's new Erie County Silver Alert System in Erie County.

Sheriff Timothy Howard, the Alzheimer's Association, Western New York Chapter and Erie County lawmaker Edward Rath of Williamsville held a news conference Monday morning to outline the system designed to expedite search efforts for missing Alzheimer's patients or individuals with other dementia related illnesses.
