Buffalo, NY – A brand new slogan has been designed to attract and target tourist in Buffalo.

Buffalo. For Real was created to target tourists making their way to Queen City. It was unvieled Tuesday morning.

The Buffalo. For Real slogan features all that the city has to offer. It focuses on the city's water front, architecture, restaurants, shopping and festivals. The new ad will target tourists to learn of the city's rich history.

The Buffalo Niagara Convention and Visitors Bureau has also been renamed Visit Buffalo-Niagara. CEO Dottie Gallagher-Cohen said it is a stragedy to brand the region for visitors.

"I think people will relate to the fact that a lot of places in America are disappearing. It's a lot of stripe malls and chain restaurants, and every where in America looks like anywhere in America. And we really want to prove the point that not every city has been homogenized. We are an authentic, distinctive place," said Gallagher-Cohen.

Mayor Byron Brown said Buffalo. For Real shows visitors that there is more to see in the region other than Niagara Falls.

"I think it's going to mean an opportunity to very clearly market our city and tell the nation and the world all of the things Buffalo has to offer. This paints a great picture of what Buffalo offers in terms of art architecture, history and our natural amenities," said Mayor Brown.

Erie County Executive Chris Collins said the new slogan is the right message to drive cultural tourism.
