By Eileen Buckley

Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Sabres shut out the Philadelphia Flyers Wednesday night at HSBC Arena 1 to noting.

Goalie Ryan Miller dazzled fans stopping ever Flyer shot. Miller was impressive under some tough play making 32 saves.

"We were good. We battled hard," said Miller.

Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff was asked about fans chanting Miller's name. Ruff said he was too.

"We came out really good here tonight", said Ruff.

Jason Pominville scored the only goal.

"It was great too see the crowd react the way they did," said Pominville following the win.

The win is a major lift for the team in this best of seven playoff series. Some fans said if the Sabres didn't win Wednesday night their chances of winning the series were in big jeopardy.

But fans were elated with an impressive shut out.

Game five in this series will be in Philly Friday night.

Game six will be back in Buffalo Sunday. The series is now tied at two.
