Flood warning for Cayuga in Lancaster

By Eileen Buckley

Buffalo, NY – The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for Cayuga Creek near Lancaster until Wednesday afternoon.

The Creek was within inches of its eight foot flood stage, with rising water levels.

Lowlying areas of Lancaster and Alden could see some minor flooding.

As always, authorities warn residents not to drive through flooded roadways because water may be deeper than it appears.

Jamison Road is currently closed between Maple and Girdle Roads in the Town of Elma due to flooding.
