Buffalo, NY – Opening statements were made Friday morning in the trial of a man accused of killing four people and wounding four others in a mass shooting outside the City Grill last summer.
Prosecuting attorney James Bargnesi said it's a simple case of senseless violence, dispute starting at a celebration inside the City Grill restaurant that spilled out to Main Street, and was partially recorded on NFTA security video.
Defense attorney Joseph Terranova attacked the prosecution's planned case on two fronts, the first being the credibility of jail inmates who offered to testify in exchange for deals in their own cases.

Ricardo McCray is charged with four counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder at the City Grill on Main Street, August 14, 2010.
