Buffalo, NY – Steady precipitation and melting snows will lend to rising river and creek levels throughout Western New York, leading to the issuing of a flood watch.
The National Weather Service is issuing a flood watch that will take effect on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. and will remain in effect through Sunday evening for all of Western New York.
Significant runoff from snow melt and one and a half to two inches of rainfall is expected to result in minor flooding along creeks and rivers.
Flooding of low lying areas and poor drainage sites is likely as well.
