Buffalo, NY – Buffalo Police and Mayor Byron Brown announced an arrest has been made for the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old teenage girl last September.
Dominique Maye was shot while working on her computer inside her Hewitt Avenue home last fall. She was hit by bullets from an AK-47 weapon in what was a drive-by shooting.
Buffalo Police say Wednesday evening, detectives arrested 24 year old Kevin J. Davis II of Gesel Street in Buffalo. He has been charged him with Murder in the 2nd Degree.
On the night of the murder, Northeast District officers responded to the area for calls regarding multiple shots being fired. Crime scene Unit personnel retrieved evidence indicating more than a dozen shots were fired from an assault rifle at the house. Shortly after the shooting, homicide detectives identified Davis as a possible suspect.
Maye was a Riverside High School student.
