The life of a local firefighter celebrated
By Chris Jamele
Buffalo, NY – The Big Tree Volunteer Fire Company in Hamburg celebrated the life of one of their own Saturday.
Twenty-six year old Jerrett Eleam fell ill during a training exercise earlier this month. He passed away two days later. A funeral service was held for Eleam in Pittsburgh last week. Frontier High School served as the backdrop for the service here.
Company Captain Edward Hughes laments that the loss will have a real effect on the firefighters as a whole.
Eleam was very fondly remembered by other members of the fire company and by members of his family and community.
