Buffalo, NY – The trial of Muzzamil Hassan is scheduled to begin Monday. The 45-year old Orchard Park man is accused of beheading his ex-wife Assiya Zubair Hassan two years ago. She was found murdered inside the couples cable television station in Orchard Park.

Hassan appeared in a pre-trial hearing with his new defense attorney. Jeremy Schwartz assured the judge he would finalize a retailer agreement with Hassan to represent him.

"It appears we have come to an agreement, and I fully intend on being his attorney of record as of Monday for the trial," said Schwartz.

Jury selection is slated to begin Monday.

Schwartz would become the fourth attorney to represent Hassan in this case. Schwartz would not say if Hassan will be called to testify.

The judge has set a final pre-trial conference for Friday morning.
