Buffalo, NY – A massive search for a lost hiker in Allegany State Park continues.

Ninety-two year old Thomas Hamilton, a retired pastor from the United Methodist Church in Great Valley, was hiking with his daughter on Wednesday when the two became lost. After spending a night in the woods, Hamilton's daughter, Rebecca Huffman went to get help. Hamilton hasn't been found since.

New York State Parks Police sergeant Clyde Doty explains the difficulty the terrain provides in the search.

Crews are searching the Red House area of the park. More than twenty thousand acres are a part of the search region.

Though time is becoming critical, officials are still considering this a rescue mission and not a recovery.
