Buffalo, NY – The author of the acclaimed novel, City of Light is back with a new sweeping work of historical fiction. Buffalo native Lauren Belfer returned to Buffalo this week to promote her second novel, A Fierce Radiance. The book is a thriller, a love story, and a window into another pivotal time in history. The novel recreates the early days of World War II, when war wasn't all that people had to fear. Belfer talked with WBFO's Joyce Kryszak about why the book took eight years to write.

Belfer will be at Borders Books and Music on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga at 7:00 P.M. Monday night to sign copies of her book.
