Buffalo, NY – Author Michael Perry returns to his childhood days growing up on a dairy farm to find inspiration for his new life and new memoir on country living. Tomorrow at Talking Leaves Books, Perry will read from his book, Coop: A Family, A Farm and the Pursuit of One Good Egg. In his book, Perry talks about being raised in what he calls an obscure fundamentalist Christian sect. He now describes himself as a bumbling agnostic. But Perry has reclaimed one part of his childhood. He, his wife and two daughters are starting life over on a small farm in Wisconsin. But his experiences are not all bucolic. WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with Perry who says he's just trying to raise some pigs without raising too many expectations.
