Buffalo, NY – Mount St. Joseph Academy is closing at the end of the school year.
The decision was made yesterday by the school's board of trustees. They cited declining enrollment. Trustees also say the loss of the school's headmaster was a factor.
Mount St. Joseph charted an independent course five years ago after the Sisters of St. Joseph planned to close the school. The trustees say enrollment never increased to the point the school needed to survive.
