Buffalo, NY – A major push is underway across the Buffalo Niagara region to secure 10-thousand patients to sign consent forms this month for HEALTHeLINK.

The Obama Administration has committed more than $16 million for HEALTHeLINK. This computerized system allows doctors and hospitals to link to patient information electronically.
CEOs from the region's leading hospital systems and health plans held an unprecedented gathering. They meet at Computer Task Group in Buffalo to sign the forms to jump start the effort. WBFO'S Eileen Buckley talked to HEALTHeLINK chair Dr. Michael Cropp, president and CEO of Independent Health.
To date 90,000 individuals in Western New York have signed on for HEALTHeLINK.
