Protesters target nuclear storage site in Lewiston

By Chris Jamele

Buffalo, NY – The Niagara Falls Storage site in the Town of Lewiston was the scene of a locally organized protest yesterday.

Approximately fifty area residents gathered to pressure authorities to clean up nuclear waste from the Manhattan Project that is buried at the site.

Participants were calling upon Representative Louise Slaughter to pressure the Army Corps of Engineers to re-establish a local advisory board to address the potential dangers at the site.
