Temporary road closings because of President's visit

By Bert Gambini

Buffalo, NY – There will be many roads in the area closed as a security measure while President Obama is in Buffalo Thursday.

Parts of William Street, New Babcock, Depot, Lewis and Howard Streets will all be closed. We can also expect closings and detours near the airport. In addition to residential streets, stretches of some expressways could be shut down as well, including the 90, 190, 290, and the 33.

The specific route for the motorcade will not be know until just before the president's arrival. It is possible that multiple routes would be simultaneously closed.

There will also be a small window both during the arrival and departure of Air Force One that no other planes will be allowed in the air.
