Buffalo, NY – Western New Yorkers might be remembering what they woke up to three years ago on October 13. Tuesday marks the third anniversary of the October Surprise Storm. Heavy wet snow piled up across the region destroying thousands of trees throughout metro Buffalo. But since that devastating storm, a major tree planting effort has been underway.
