Buffalo, NY – There is a resurgence of opera in the Buffalo region. The Nickle City Opera Company has launched its first annual June Opera season. The effort is being lead by a Cheektowaga native who performs at the Metropolitan Opera House and internationally.

Valerian Ruminski is the founder of Nickle City Opera. He talked to WBFO'S Eileen Buckley about the company's production of The Barber of Seville at the Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda this weekend.
