Buffalo, NY – Revelations from the National Transportation Safety Board hearings into the crash of flight 3407 have stunned the victims' families and the nation. Beyond the shock and profound sadness, some wonder how the circumstances surrounding the tragedy will impact the future of airline travel. WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with someone who offers some perspective. William Swelbar is a research engineer with MIT's International Center for Air Transportation. He has studied airline market behavior for nearly thirty years. He joined Joyce by phone from his office at MIT.
