Brown Runs for Re-Election as Mayor

By WBFO News

Buffalo, NY – Mayor Byron Brown is running for a second term in City Hall.

Brown was scheduled to make an announcement Saturday announcing his re-election plans. He is touting his success at cutting residential and commercial property taxes each of the past four years, reducing both the crime and homicide rates in the city.

Brown will face a primary challenge from a fellow Democrat. South District Council Member Michael "Mickey" Kearns announced his candidacy for mayor on Thursday.
