Buffalo, NY – Western New York could become the place to watch in predicting presidential elections. That's according to a new study recently released by Buffalo's Regional Institute at UB. The detailed analysis tracked voting trends in the region from the 2008 presidential election. And there were some surprising results. WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with the institute's senior research associate Peter Lombardi.
Everybody that knows anything about the coloring book the United States has become that New York is a blue state. But according to Lombardi, there are different shades of blue, especially when you get to the western part of the state.
