Albright Knox Art Gallery Offers New Canvas for Business Training
By Joyce Kryszak
Buffalo, NY – The Albright Knox Art Gallery has a new program designed to help businesses think outside the box. The gallery is launching "At Work," a creative staff development program.
Attending a business seminar inside a stuffy hotel conference room might yield plenty of information. But chances are you won't be terribly inspired or energized by the gold flock wallpaper or the brass wall sconces.
The Albright Knox Gallery is suggesting a backdrop that's a bit more vibrant and creative. Begiining in May, the gallery offers businesses monthly training sessions and networking events amidst some of the most inspired artwork in the world. Maria Morreale is director of marketing for the gallery. She said the gallery is an untapped business resource.
But it's not just about looking at pretty pictures.
Morreale said exposure to the artwork can change the way people think and imagine solutions. The gallery's education department developed training sessions that will teach employees how to find their own muse. Training sessions include everything from conceptual thinking to stress reduction.
Admission and training for employees are included in the yearly fee. The cost ranges from as low as $300 a year to $5,000 for the largest companies. Morreale said the gallery also hopes the program will help grow the gallery's business by attracting new audiences.
