Buffalo, NY – A newly formed commission overseeing the future of the Michigan Street Corridor will be meeting Monday Afternoon.

Assemblyman woman Crystal Peoples says the Michigan Street Corridor has the potential of generating new revenues and becoming tourist destination for the city and region. Peoples is a commission sponsor. She says the commission must create a management plan to develop, preserve and promote the City's Michigan Street Corridor. That section is filled with some of the region's richest history that traces the to the Underground Railroad and start of the NAACP. The area includes the Michigan Street Baptist Church and Nash House.
