By WBFO News

Buffalo, NY – The deep freeze continues in Western New York. The National Weather Service has posted a wind chill warning from 4am to 12noon Friday for dangerously cold wind chills in the 20-below range.

Administrators of local school districts will be making decisions about whether to close Friday because of the dangerously cold wind chills.

The bitter cold will persist through the weekend.

The National Weather Service has posted a lake effect snow warning for Southern Erie, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties through 1:00 early Saturday morning. Forecasters say one to two feet of lake effect snow will accumulate in the warning areas.
