Buffalo, NY – A sneak preview of the seventh annual National Buffalo Wing Festival was held in Niagara Square Tuesday. Mayor Byron Brown, County Executive Chris Collins and "Wing King" Drew Cerza were on hand for the celebration.
They were there to promote this year's festival, which takes place Labor Day weekend at Dunn Tire Park. Some 30 local and national restaurants will serve more than 100 styles of wings.
Richard Geiger, president of the Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the festival helps bring people and money into the city.
Organizers of the Wing Fest are hoping to attract 75.000 people. The highlight, as usual, will be a chicken wing eating contest.
