Buffalo, NY – State Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos says his house is working on property tax relief.
Skelos was in Buffalo Tuesday, saying he is now supporting a proposal recommended by a special commission that would cap school property tax increases at four percent. He says he has been in discussion with various leaders throughout the state and that the number one issue is still high property taxes.
Skelos says he hopes to pass the property tax cap bill within the next 2 to 3 weeks during a special session of the State Senate.
