Mayor Hopes to say Goodbye to Control Board

Buffalo, NY – The State Legislature approved a bill that would downgrade the power of the Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority.

Mayor Brown made a similar attempt to have the control board turned into a soft status. In fact, state lawmakers passed the same measure last year, but it was vetoed by former Governor Spitzer. Now Brown has another chance to put the legislation before Governor Paterson.
