Small Pharmacies Hurt by Delayed Medicare Part D Payments

By Eileen Buckley

Amherst, NY – Buffalo area pharmacy owners say they are struggling to make ends meet because of delays in Medicare Part D payments.

Senator Schumer appeared with members of the Pharmacists' Association of Western New York Monday inside the Family Medical Pharmacy in Amherst. Schumer says these so called "mom and pop" pharmacies are waiting up to eight weeks for Medicare Part D payments.
