Hail Hits Parts of Western New York

Amherst, NY – There were no injuries reported, but some damage after hailstorms passed through the region Monay.

A storm with golf-ball sized hailstones passed north and east of the city of Buffalo at around 2pm Monday afternoon. It was part of a series of thunderstorms ushering in a cold front and cooler weather. A second hailstorm was reported east of Buffalo at around 7:00 Monday night.

WBFO News microphones recorded the hail during the height of the storm along Hopkins Road in Amherst.
