Drunk Driver Sentenced to Jail Time for Fatal Accident

By WBFO News

Buffalo, NY – A drunken driver who struck and killed a bicyclist last summer was sentenced to jail time Thursday.

Forty-year-old Lyle Logan of Silver Creek will spend the next 16 months to four years in prison. He pleaded guilty earlier this year to vehicular manslaughter and drunken driving.

Thirty-nine-year-old Crystale Stonemetz was killed as she was bicycling along Route Five in the town of Brant.

At his sentencing, Logan apologized for his actions.

Judge Sheila DiTullio told Logan there must be consequences for drinking and driving.

Logan still faces a civil suit.
