Clinton's Candidacy Will Pay Dividends for Other Female Candidates

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – Now that Barack Obama is the presumptive presidential nominee of the Democratic party, supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton are waiting to find out what she will do. One local follower of women and politics says whatever happens, Clinton has paved the way for other women to follow in future elections.

Nancy McGlen has written and spoken extensively on women in politics. She's a political scientist who currently serves as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Niagara University.

WBFO's Mark Scott reached Dr. McGlen at her office yesterday to talk about the long-term impact of the Clinton presidential campaign.
