By Joyce Kryszak
Buffalo, NY – Buffalo's hopes for revitalization rest in large part on the shoulders of New York's upstate development czar. But other communities would also like to benefit from Dan Gunderson's talents.
Speculation that Gunderson might leave surfaced after his down state counterpart, Patrick Foye, exited his post when the former governor resigned in scandal. Gunderson said publicly that he is committed to his work in upstate New York. But when asked by WBFO, Gunderson admitted he is getting offers.
Although he did not elaborate on where the offers came from, Gunderson says he does have options. But he says this is no time for his commitment to waiver.
The news that Gunderson is being courted comes at a time when he is also having to reassure potential investors about the state's commitment to projects upstate.
