26th Congressional District: Davis In, Postles Out

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – Akron businessman Jack Davis will make a third run for Congress in the 26th district. An official announcement is expected at a later date.

Davis has said he is prepared to spend $3 million of his own money on the campaign. He'll once again seek the Democratic nomination. There are two other announced Democratic candidates -- Jon Powers of Clarence and Alice Kryzan of Buffalo.

On the Republican side, TV news anchorman Don Postles said he will not seek that party's nomination. He said he was "flattered" to be considered but that he's happy being a "newsman."

The person who currently holds that seat, Congressman Tom Reynolds, announced last week that he would not seek re-election.
