Mayor Brown fills pothole on Washington Street
Mayor Brown fills pothole on Washington Street

Buffalo, NY – The City says its 48 hour pothole repair guarantee program is working. Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown says since launching the program last year, citizens have put it to the test and crews are living up to the task.

Mayor Brown helped demonstrate how quickly potholes are being filled in the City. He grabbed a shovel and dug into a pile of cold patch off the back of a City Public Works truck yesterday afternoon. The Mayor filled a pothole along Washington near Seneca.

Brown says since the program was launched, the city has filled more than 5,500 potholes using 452-tons of cold patch.
