Buffalo, NY – Suspended Buffalo Police detective Dennis Delano appeared at Police Headquarters for more than an hour Tuesday.

A normally outspoken detective Delano had no comment for reporters and walked quickly to his car. He said he was ordered not to talk about his case. But who ordered Delano not to speak is unclear.

Delano was suspended last week without pay for releasing two videos to a T-V station without authorization and continuing his own investigation into the death of Lynn DeJac's daughter.

Delano faces departmental charges. He appeared Tuesday before the Department's Professional Standards Division to deliver a statement. Police spokesman Michael DeGeorge says an informal hearing will be held possibly by late next week. It will include Police Commissioner McCarthy Gipson, the PBA attorney, members of the professional standards division and Delano.
