Kevin Everett Will Appear at Book Signing

By Eileen Buckley

Amherst, NY – A planned book signing by former Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett was initially postponed, but now is back on track at the Barnes and Noble in Amherst.

Everett will be signing "Standing Tall: The Kevin Everett Story" this Thursday, February 28th at the Niagara Falls Boulevard store at 7 p.m. The store's community relations manager Dawn Everett, who is no relation, says his agent called the store Monday saying the appearance would take place.

Everett suffered a paralyzing hit last September during a Bills game against Denver. But he was able to take his first steps just one month later. Doctors attribute Everett's remarkable recovery to a treatment that lowered his body temperature to prevent swelling in his spine.

Dawn Everett says for those wishing to attend the book signing,line-numbers will be handed out as early as 5-p.m. Thursday.

Everett will appear for two hours. The store says the book is popular and copies have been selling on a daily basis.
