Voters Give Governor Low Job Rating

By Eileen Buckley

Albany, NY – Many New York voters are giving Governor Eliott Spitzer a negative job performance rating.

A Siena College Poll says 65%believe Spitzer is doing a fair or poor job.

50% of those surveyed for the Siena Poll say if given the choice, they would vote for someone else for Governor. Only 25% said they would be prepared to re-elect Spitzer. Only 33% surveyed believe Spitzer is doing an excellent job as governor.

Siena Poll spokesman Steven Greenberg says Spitzer is simply disconnecting with voters.
